About 1500 people applied for the 1000 spots that were drawn for permits to kill 1 gator at least 4 ft long.  700 people have paid the $100 cost for the permit.  The gator 1st has to be roped or snagged with a hook and the brought to the boat and shot with a pistol or bangstick to kill it.
